Official Prices/Release Dates for HD DVD Add On- Good News!!

Hey guys,

I just got this information today from my stores whoesaler. I thought i would share the info with you members who are interested. This piece of Hardware has a remarkable mark up, good for me, not so good for you. lol

Having such a good mark up though, you may find places like JB HIFI, Big W, K Mart, etc having a release day sale of maybe $199.95 or so, im not sure exactly what they will do, but i wouldnt expect you to be paying $249.95 on launch day.

This is an accessory that alot of us have been hanging out for

, they are predicting a SELL OUT on release for Australia.

I work at / run a Computer IT shop as well.

I don't know if you should be publicly displaying what the Wholesale cost prices are for these items.

If I knew what your computer shop was I would be tempted to contact my wholesales ( I use Ingram as well ) and advise them of this public showing of wholesale cost prices.

Not sure if its ok with them that you display cost figures to the public who are not INGRAM customers.

Why does it concern you if members of this forum know about the wholesale price anyway? If it makes you happier ill remove the information, but it has been there for well over a month now anyway

sorry if this has effected you or your business in anyway.

I own my shop and it doesnt really concern me what people know to be honest, the public know there is some kind of mark up anyway

That is a healthy markup alright and easy to charge really cause $249.95 for next generation still sounds cheap.

well atleast its gone from here now, dont need to make any more people unhappy. lol. I dont use Ingram anyway..... ingram was just the publisher.

The only reason why i could see anyone getting upset with what i posted is because they are charging WAY over the RRP or something??? i dunno, its gone now so i cant be worried about dobbers.... dibber dobbers wear nappies. lolol remember that from the old school days? lol
