Re: Stupid Xbox 360, You Go Shush Now!
quite a good read. Id like to try it out, i might use one of the ones in my store, dont want to use my own. lol. Though i really dont notice the noise much on the 360, i can block it out pretty well. The only game where i have really noticed it was Test Drive & Just Cause. Surprisingly i didnt notice it while playing Gears Of War (probably cos i had the volume cranked so i could enjoy the sound of a chainsaw. lol)

Is an awesome game, only problem is that you can finish it in about 8 hours, but the replay value is definately there for different difficulties. Online multiplayer is awesome too.

Re: Stupid Xbox 360, You Go Shush Now!
If I was to use an Xbox 360 as an MCE extender, what would the noise level be? The same as idle? Or perhaps the equivalent of watching a DVD movie?

Pretty much the same as idle for SD, maybe a little louder for HD. Quieter than a DVD as the drive isn't spinning.
At my normal viewing/listening level, I don't hear it.
Bear in mind, using it in HD is still @ 60Hz - the 50Hz update only seems to have changed DVD output.
