Microsoft Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote

Has anyone got one of these? What's it like? Seems to be USA hardware - would there be any problems with Australian Xbox 360s / Media Centre PCs?

Cheers.

Re: Microsoft Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote

My experience in the Game shop is that it will not work with an Australian 360, i suggest you try looking for one from the UK or something, Joytech sell one in Australia for around $49.50 its a great remote, or you can buy a Genuine 360 Remote for the same price and looks exactly like the US one that you have found on Ebay.

Also the Remote is compatible with MCE PC.

Brads did you buy the Xbox360 Premium pack? If so stick with the remote that came with it. This elongated one isn't neccessary.

Re: Microsoft Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote

someone did a review on the logitech harmony 360 here i think... thats a TRUE universal remote. Its hard to pick up you will need to order it from the USA if you want a decent price.

Re: Microsoft Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote

I have the Harmony 360 and I am extremely happy with it. I have reduced my collection of remotes from 6 to 1. I have actually hidden the other remotes so my wife MUST use the harmony. Or as my eldest boys calls it "The magic remote".

One thing though it can be a tad fiddly configuring it initially. Persistence will win through in the end.
