Yeah it'd be great if it auto-selected whatever input was active at the time, though those sorts of things don't seem to be 100% reliable in general, and as long as the unit has an IR receiver built into it that I can control with my Harmony remote that'd be enough for me.

While things like HDMI 1.3 and HDCP support would be ideal, they're not necessary at the moment.

Any recommendations?

It actually will be necessary to get a switch that is at least HDCP compliant, having said that you'll find most already are. Google is your friend as they say, expect to pay $100 - $200.
