I concur with dgaust's thoughts.

The audio inputs you refer to on the TV are analogue inputs, probably one for the left speaker and one for the right speaker , you need to connect them to the analogue output from your sound card, you will need a 3.5mm stereo jack to two RCA plugs to achieve this. Check your mobo manual for the correct socket to connect into for stereo out.
