Yamaha RX-V663/RX-V863

Anybody trying to use either the Yamaha RX-V663 or RX-V863 receiver with audio via it's HDMI 1.3a interfaces ? If yes, can you please post your experience and what type of hardware your using, eg mainboard, video card and driver etc.

I'm considering buying one, but apparently they don't work with ATI cards, including the ATI 4850, looks like an EDID issue.
