If we use EIT are we at the mercy of the FTA providers? I mean, can't they just change the description every now and again to stuff up series recordings, etc?
To date the aim of one FTA provider has been to try and stop the use of guide data that, one can only guess, creates a fear that they can not get people to watch adverts routinely. I would suspect the same thought process will ensure that EIT data is as good as useless for an EPG.
Doesn't this still leave a place for EPG data from third party providers, free or otherwise? While EIT data may be free in Fiji, will it be fit for purpose?
