Thanks - I do believe that you are correct

I installed the 30-day eval of PureVideo platinum, and 5.1 sound works fine. It is just odd that it worked before in windowed mode....

Now I just have to asked myself is it worth the $ to upgrade, or shall I just continue to use PDVD 8 codec....
