It doesn't say that they have a model that plays DVDs. The advert. says silent because no moving parts. If they do make one with DVD player just make sure that you actually listen to the DVD player in action before you buy it. I have a DSM 320RD and the DVD player is useless because the noise irritates SWMBO if it is activated.
