it just depends on how much you want to spend, and how much good crisp sound you expect.

you can spend 300 on a surround sound setup, or you can easily spend 10k.

I have always used yamaha as more core equipment, and JBL as my speakers. I am not a fan of satellite / wireless speakers they sound like utter crap.

My friend was going to buy a boss setup for 3.5k, which he thought was good listenign to blade, then i took him to a real shop, played the same movie and handed over his cash in 3 mintues for 1k more.

Also peoples ears are different, what sounds good to you , will sound differently to other people. Best bet is you take the same movie with you or a selection , so you can hear the difference.
