Yes....well analogue out via any onboard solution tends to always give a lot of background noise due to the electrical interferance.....I think decent soundcards are a different kettle of fish though.

Hence with onboard you really can only use SPDIF - but soundcards should give best results via analogue...using their DACs which should be pretty good.
