Its noisy enough that if / when I need to replace I will take that into consideration, but not noisy enough that it will cause me to change. I've found one important thing is that if you need to crank up the brightness to max then the fan certainly runs louder to achieve this.
210cm screen, about 280cm away for the seating, projector directly overhead at about 260cm (very high open ceilings).
Not sure about current pricing, have had mine for well over a year and got it through a mate who works in Epson, so the price was truly right
ie staff rates.
