If you're thinking of adding the existing drives to WHS you'll lose everything anyway since WHS will need to format them before it can add them to the storage pool.

But assuming you plan to buy new drives to accommodate the data in WHS, then wouldn't that automatically provide you with a mirror with the same data sitting on the old and new drives?
