DVI to HDMI video ok... but what about audio?

I've setup a PC to act as a media centre in my study. Very happy with it. Dual HD tuners, recording and watching everything fine, using my PC monitor and speakers.

I decided to replicate this by setting up a dedicated HTPC in the living room. Before purchasing the components, I just wanted to test everything worked fine on the brand new LG 50" plasma.

I connected the PC (with a GeForce 8800GT, dual DVI output) to the plasma TV with a DVI-HDMI adaptor and a regular HDMI cable. Everything looks great, but of course I've got no sound.

Any suggestions? I kinda suspected the video card would not output sound, but I'm not really sure how to proceed. The motherboard has a SPDIF output (both co-ax and optical), but the only optical port on the TV says "Output".

How do I get my PC to output audio to the plasma TV? Do I simply use a pair of those red & white audio cables? If so, how do I "link" that audio stream to the HDMI signal? I'm worried I'll have to use plain old S-video or composite, as these are the only ports grouped together (AV1 and AV2) with the red/white audio input plugs.

There is one "RGB IN" group that has RGP PC port (15pin D-sub) and a single "Audio (RGB/DVI)". Not even sure what cable to use with this, and what output port on the PC I should use!

Any suggestions would be welcome.
