I can copy the file onto my local drive and change the attributes no problem.

I don't know much about networking, so maybe it is a permision issue or something? I have administrator rights, and the drive is 'public' and not 'limited' according to the Maxtor software.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
The question is what OS does the Maxtor use? The fact is with most non-windows NAS devices things like permissions and file attributes must be set on the NAS itself or using its web interface since they don't use Windows file system etc.
