MCE not adding network music even though it says it is

I tried to add My Music from my other PC, an XP Pro pc. It flashed up each album name in the little "Adding music" window but when I go into MCE My Music nothing is listed.
If I go into MY Network Places on the MCE machine I can browse the networked folder and play stuff using WMP, it's just not showing up in MCE.
The equivelent My Pictures folder on the Pro pc works just fine in MCE.

Any ideas ?

(as a side note - I have noticed too that when I restart the MCE pc then try to access remote folders in My Network Places it asks me for my login name and password of the other PC. Is this normal ?)

Thanks very much.
