Apple iPhone Winner?
Well those of us who have Windows Mobile based phones will know well the shortcomings of these converged devices. It is likely here that the shortcomings are mostly related to the underlying OS and it's loose integration with the available hardware. Personally I believe Apple's entry into the market is a huge win for consumers. I'll admit the size of it despite how thin it is might be a significant hurdle for me but if Apple deliver a stable device with all the touted functionality I'll be taking a much closer look. One of the big attractions for me is the way Apple have added significant improvements to touchscreen functionality and I'm really looking forward to giving it a try.
I'm interested to know what others make of Apples Quantum shift in directionand its entry into this market. Personally I think the mobile carriers will be quivering with fear or clamouring to get in on the act.
